Ziwa is located in Nakasongora district just a few kilometres off the main route via Masindi thus makes a great stopover en route to the park. It was established in 2005 by the rhino fund Uganda in partnership with Uganda wildlife authority to assist in re-introducing rhinos back to Uganda.
