4 Days Uganda Grorilla Trekking

depending on your location on the first day of the 4 days ),Jganda gorilla trekking and mount Sabinyo hike you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to _Mgahingil_gorilla national 12ark in southwestern part of Uganda. It’s a whole day journey and on the way you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will buy souvenirs, take photos and then proceed to Mbarara city for lunch. After lunch you will continue the journey to the park with spectacular views of the countryside, beautiful landscape, Kigezi hills among others. You will arrive in Mgahinga gorilla national park in the evening, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 4 days Uganda gorilla trekking and mount SabinY.O hike, you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and trails in the jungle. Trekking of Nyakagezi family in _Mgahingil_gorilla national 12ark takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.

During trekking you will be able to view other primate species, mammals, bird species among others and once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a chance to learn about their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, groom young ones, take photos and record breathtaking videos. After the one hour interaction with the gentle giants you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet up with your driver guide and return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Hike mount Sabinyo, after an early breakfast on the third day of the 4 days Uganda gorilla trekking and mount Sabinyo hike you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the Ntebeko park headquarters for a briefing about hiking mount Sabinyo. After the briefing you will be allocated a park guide, given a walking stick and you can also hire a porter who will help you to carry your back pack and give you a pull or push during hiking.

Mount Sabinyo is a dormant volcano that is 3645meters above the sea level and hiking takes 8 hours 4 hours to the summit and 4 hours back depending on your pace. During hiking you will pass through different vegetation zones such as bamboo, Hagenia Hypericum and sub-alpine zones which act as habitats for wildlife species like golden monkeys, gorillas, buffaloes, elephants, different bird species, plants and tree species. Once you reach at the summit you will be standing in three countries at the same time that is Uganda, Rwanda and democratic republic of Congo. You will also be able to see Lake Kivu in Rwanda, Rwenzori mountain ranges, other Virunga volcanoes, beautiful scenery, take photos among others. After the great views you will have your picnic lunch and later start descending down the volcano which takes about 4 hours. When you reach the starting point you will meet up with your driver guide to drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
